🎙️ Re-Introducing Joss Stone 🎸 

Joss Stone was a teen when she busted the charts with her multi-million-selling "The Soul Sessions," an album of covers that introduced her big, soulful voice with a bang. Rolling Stone magazine announced that she had "divatude."

No wonder. For her debut, Stone, who grew up loving soul music, collaborated with legends including Betty Wright, Angie Stone, and The Roots. The first single, "Fell in Love with a Boy," a reworking of a White Stripes run, reached the Top 20 of the singles charts, as did her version of "Super Duper Love (Are You Diggin' on Me}."

She brings her soulful singing to Chrysler Hall on June 5 as part of the Virginia Arts Festival.

🍷 Depth: Where Natural Wine Meets Social Justice✊ 

Prepare your palates and your passion for change, because Depth is coming to Norfolk on June 2nd. This unique fair and fundraiser is a delicious blend of natural wine appreciation and a powerful push for reproductive justice.

Presented by a collective of community-minded businesses – Eleanor's, Natural VB, Spinning Wheel Wines, and Grandiflora – Depth is more than just a tasting event. It's a celebration of solidarity, where the worlds of natural wine and reproductive justice converge.

Held on the picturesque roof deck of Assembly Norfolk, attendees will sip hand-selected wines while engaging in crucial conversations about the intersectionality of these two vital movements.

✒️ Doodle Into Your Dark Side at CAN's Doodlefest ✏️ 

Mark your calendars for May 31st, because Assembly, Doodlefest, and The CAN Foundation are teaming up to transform your Friday night into a doodler's paradise. From 1 PM to 9 PM, the "Night of Living the Doodle" event promises an explosion of creativity, live music, and a group art exhibition that will leave you inspired.

Doodle stations will be scattered throughout the Living Room and Mezzanine, overflowing with Posca pens, chalk markers, Sharpies, and a giant mural on the windows to unleash your artistic flair. Local artists Rick Nickel and Chris Revels will be on hand to guide your creative explorations.

As the sun sets, the festivities ramp up with a series of workshops designed to take your doodling skills to the next level.
