The 8th Annual Fall Crafted Market Comes To Reaver Beach

This Saturday marks eight years of Crafted Indie Arts and Craft Markets. The market series known for curated selections of creative handmade goods is back again with its most robust market of the year. Over 40 vendors will squeeze into the parking lot of Reaver Beach Brewing for a day full of shopping.

This small business smorgasbord is made possible by a local artisan and crafter, Michelle Odom. Michelle has been making jewelry and home decor under the banner Finge + Fire. Her handmade clay earrings are hugely popular on Instagram and Etsy.

Michelle started Crafted to bring together fellow small business owners and build a critical mass for market events. The annual Fall market has been a smashing success and built a loyal following. Colley Avenue expects thousands of shoppers from across the region to drop in.

Shoppers can peruse many items, including small baked goods, hand-knitted stuffed animals, cheeky crocheted works, jewelry of all kinds, wood carvings, leather workings, and more from a lineup of vendors. While many are local, expect a great selection of folks from other parts of the state and country selling their wares.

While you meet your neighborhood crafters and shop small till you drop, indulge in the food, drink, and entertainment. Reaver Beach is ramping up the fall vibes with a re-release of its acclaimed seasonal beer Where Do We Go When We Pie? Pumpkin Ale. Appetites will be satisfied with double food trucks: Hangry’s is known for delights like shrimp grilled cheeses and pressed Cubano sandwiches. Get Stuffed is bringing their mind-bending varieties of loaded burritos and tacos. Shoppers will have their eardrums graced by the musical talents of Black + Gold.

A lot is going on in Norfolk this weekend, but the 8th Annual Crafted Indie Arts and Crafts Market should be a priority.
