Step Aside Kid, This One’s For Us: Adult Easter Egg Hunt at Maker’s Craft Brewery

Whoa, whoa whoa, it’s that time of year again. Soft hops heard at the door, chocolate and plastic grass coming out of everything, flowers blooming in full force, and a festive blanket of yellow pollen on your car – it’s Easter season. The bright pastel colors and the first taste of warm weather can make even the saltiest dog muster a slight grin.

The cartoon bunnies and a never-ending flow of chocolate tend to make the kids wild about Easter festivities, and some adults surely appreciate a renewed focus on rebirth with their family and congregation. If you don’t fall into one of those two groups, you might think, “Easter? So what?” Sure, there might be some golf and baseball to catch, but who doesn’t want to celebrate another day on the calendar? Well, Maker’s Craft Brewery didn’t forget about you. This weekend, they’ve got the perfect lineup for the rest best of us.

Maker’s is hosting its “Adult Only Easter Egg Hunt” for the third year. After two years of huge turnouts, the Maker’s team brings it back bigger and better than before. No kids allowed here – this one’s strictly for the young at heart. If you’ve been looking for a chance to relive your youth’s pure joy and excitement or simply want a fun way to fight off the Sunday Scaries, you need to get your cottontail to Church Street.

Three waves of too-grown-to-care folks will take off from the gates and pour into Maker’s huge front yard. They’ll be feverishly searching every nook and cranny and unusual spot for some glorious prizes. Will it get rowdy? Will there be obscenities shouted? Will someone realize that they’re really not in as good of shape as they thought? Absolutely. You better bring your game face if you decide to get in on the hunt. Folks have been cooped up inside all winter watching Squid Games, so you know it will be intense. Try to split up between the waves; otherwise, you might not be friends after this.

Inside of the hundreds of eggs will be prizes ranging from classic candy and toys to the deeply coveted beer tickets. Egg hunters want those beer tickets so badly, that it makes you wonder if that’s what Indiana Jones was actually looking for in the Temple of Doom. The prizes don’t stop inside the eggs; they keep rolling like a giant boulder boobie trap. Additional awards will go to the most eggs collected, best Easter bonnet, etc.

Due to the overwhelming demand from previous years, you need to grab a ticket ahead of time if you want to join the hunt.
