Melt the Winter Blues with Downtown Norfolk's Sizzling Restaurant Week

'Tis the Season[ing]

If the winter blahs have got your taste buds bored to tears, then it's time to shake things up with a fiery dose of Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week. From January 15th to 21st, over 20 tempting restaurants are serving up multi-course dining delights, guaranteed to thaw your chilled appetite and add some sizzle to these icy days.

We're talking three decadent courses for just $35 or $45 per person. Or opt for the lunch/brunch menu at the even spicier price of $15. Yeah, we had to read that one twice too. Even in the dead of winter, Downtown Norfolk brings the heat.

And this January, there are three fresh additions throwing their toques into the restaurant week ring for the first time ever - each one poised to turn up the culinary combustion. Award-hogging Mermaid Winery will be uncorking their oenophilic magic. Fan fave chicken shack CM Chicken spreads its wings in a brand new downtown roost. And the Taste family of eateries launches their latest concept, Zinnia, inside the Chrysler Museum of Art.

"Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week really is the perfect opportunity to check out our distinct dining scene," says Sam Black, director of marketing and communications for Downtown Norfolk Council. "And we’re excited to have three brand new participants alongside so many of our Downtown staples as part of this January’s event."
