Valentine's Day falls on a Wednesday this year in Norfolk (and presumably every city, right?) which means there are two weeks that are full of Valentine's festivities. We threw together a massive guide to all the dinners, activities, shows, and more to celebrate your sweeties. Information featured was accurate as of Feb 1. Four Eleven York Valentine’s Day Four Course Menu & Wine Pairings.
Feb 14th. 
Four Eleven is overflowing with elegant ambiance. Menu specials include: ancho glazed octopus, veal wellington, dragon fruit barbecue.

Grandiflora’s Valentine Celebration.
Feb 14th.
Seven courses of vegan delights from owner and chef Jason. The event has only one seating to give you time to enjoy the company. Before that single seating though, there’s a cocktail hour to warm you up. Wine pairings are available as well as an alcohol-free pairing.

Mermaid Winery Valentine’s Day Dinner.
Feb 14th. 
Four courses served family-style because sharing is caring. The gnocchi with bacon jam sounds particularly slick, but I couldn’t help but point out that the menu includes a perfect “Lady and the Tramp” choice.

Only You Lounge “Love is in the Air” Valentine’s Day Dinner.
Feb 14th. 
Live jazz by the Hamm Hawks and three course pairing meal that includes Rockefeller oysters and short ribs. Presumably all basked in Only You’s signature red-orange glow.

Press 626’s Valentine’s Coursed Dinner by Chef Leeroi.
Feb 13th, 14th, 15th.
Classy caviar?! Scallop crudo?! Confit duck leg?! Four stunning courses of await you at Press 626. Dinner includes a sparkling rose, but you can get a full wine pairing from some of the best wine somms in town. Their coursed dinners are so popular, they’re running it back for three nights.

Glass Light Hotel’s Three Course Dinner
Feb 14th.
Nothing’s quite as romantic as eating surrounded by fine works of glass art. The time it takes to make, the delicate nature of the art is just chef’s kiss. The incredible team at Glass Light is serving up special items like escargot, scallop tartare, and a lamb chop.

Syd’s FishPig Cafe Dumbwaiter Throwback Valentine’s Dinner.
Feb 14th.
Cowboy Syd Meers is a legend of local kitchens and he’s bringing recipes out of the vault for this one. He’s cooking up specials from “Dumbwaiter,” a Norfolk restaurant that first opened over 34 years ago. Details are sparse, but mystery & nostalgia are definitely romantic.

Codex’s Four Course Wine Dinner with Roanoke Valley Wine Co.
Feb 14th.
That orange door on Granby Street is a gateway to incredible dining. The Brussel Sprouts are to die for, but no telling what they’ll pull out for this menu. Only two seatings and sure to fill up quick.

Saltine’s “Pearl In My Oyster” 3-Course Menu.
Feb 14-17.
It’s Saltine, so you already know it’s going to be seafood-forward. What’s going to be harder? Choosing between steak and lobster or oysters and scallops?

Varia’s That’s Amore Valentine’s 3-Course Menu.
Feb 14-17.
There’s something particularly romantic about Italian food and Varia is leaning in. Finger’s crossed the in-house piano is making sweet melodies too.

Union Taco’s Four Course Tequila Dinner.
Feb 14.
Chef Kair Saejung is behind the magic of pairing each of the four courses with tequila or mezcal. On top of that you get a welcome cocktail and a swag bag. But maybe call an Uber ahead of time.

Cure’s Barbie-Inspired Galentine’s Brunch.
Feb 10th & Feb 11th. 
President Barbie, Mermaid Barbie, Surfer Barbie, Popstar Barbie ….. And beach Ken and Allan. Food’s not all, a cocktail menu is out too with a mimosa flight. Take the gals to Barbieland.

The much-hyped Yorkies, alongside Ghost Kitchen and Chelsea Bakehouse, are rolling out nostalgic lunchroom-inspired grub. Is it specifically Valentine’s Day? No. But is it a ton of fun and great chow. Yes.
