Public Hearing Agenda
This ordinance would approve a second amendment to the lease between Amtrak and the City of Norfolk at Harbor Park. The amendment is a six month extension of the current lease terms to provide the City of Norfolk to find another location for the 103 parking spots that Amtrak requires. The annual rent is $1.
This ordinance would convey a portion of Chapel street that has been closed to the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Association for the continued progression of the St. Paul’s Revitalization Project.

This ordinance would convey a portion of the former “St. Mary’s Home” property on the corner of Mariner Street and Church Street to to the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Association for the continued progression of the St. Paul’s Revitalization Project.

This ordinance would authorize the sale of city-owned property, located at 749 E 28th Street to Prosperity Collective LLC. The sale is a result of the City’s Online Real Estate Auction. The property is zoned “Multi Family-Neighborhood Scale” and the buyer will be required to build a single-family dwelling on the property.

This ordinance would approve a newly negotiated lease with the Virginia Opera (VO) for the Harrison Opera House and the Civic Arena Building. The lease term of one year will require VO to vacate at the end of the lease for renovations at the property. This matter was previously continued from a June meeting due to negotiations around $270,000.00 in past due rent.

This ordinance would authorize the Downtown Norfolk Council to use the “Cofer Lot” for the NEON Festival on October 18th.

This ordinance would allow Favor Nation to operate a religious institution at 739 Yarmouth Street, which is inconsistent with current zoning. The property is currently home to the Hague School.

This ordinance would accept, appropriate, and authorize the expenditure of $9,500 form Coastal Virginia Plein Air for the installation of public art in the media at 21st Bay Street and Ocean View Avenue.
